Scheduled Maintenance
NOTE: Always refer to your official Ford Scheduled Maintenance Guide. Documented from the 2001 Ford Focus Owners Manual!
The following is the "Normal Maintenace Schedule" recommended by Ford. Normal Maintenace is recommened for those operating operating the vehicle under "typical", everyday driving conditions.
If you drive your vehicle in a "demanding" fashion, or what Ford calls "Special Operating Conditions(SOC)", you should refer to the Special Operating Conditions section of your official Ford Scheduled Maintenance Guide.
Special Operating Conditions Maintenance should be considered if you "more than occasionally" do one of the following:
- Tow or carry heavy loads.
- Idle extensively, or drive at low speeds for long distances.
- Drive in dusty conditions.
- Operate your vehicle off-road.
Normal Maintenace Schedule

| Windshield washer fluid level |

| Windshield washer spray, wiper operation, clean all blades |
| Parking brake for proper operation |
| Check and lubricate door hinges, latches, locks |

| Clean body and door drain holes |
| Safety warning lights(brake, ABS, air bag, safety belt) for operation |
| Cooling system fluid level and coolant strength |
| Battery connections and clean if necessary |
| Clutch fluid level on manual transmission |
